Melanie's Thoughts and Ramblings -- Welcome to my crazy world!
Remember when you were a kid and nothing worked out quite the way you wanted it to? You would beg and cry for a do-over, to somehow make everything miraculously better. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Regardless you still felt better about the situation because it allowed you to correct your mistakes and put your best effort forward. You also probably learned a lot about the situation as well.
My latest fiasco has definitely left me begging for a do-over with my readers. I strive to bring you the best stories possible. I have worked with several editors and proofreaders that just weren't up to par and I would like to apologize to you, my readers for putting up with the editing errors that I have had to clean up in all of my books! I have a new editor/proofreader that is working diligently to clean everything up and get it updated on the market as soon as possible. All updates will be done at Amazon directly. You can update the versions of your book by deleting the book from your Kindle and downloading the newest version. Each book that has been updated with say 2nd Edition on the Copyright page. If this does not work, please contact Amazon directly (they are great to work with through chat) to get the newest update. In the Indie publishing world, you unfortunately do not have the resources available to those that publish traditionally. Each problem or setback is a learning experience that you reflect upon to see how you can improve your craft and move forward. That is exactly what I am doing with this situation. When a trusted author and friend of mine came to me to let me know what she found, I was horrified and embarrassed. She hooked me up with one of her peoples and we moved on! Now, I have to say that I am actually relieved that the problems came to light and are being corrected!
